What types of dogs do you train for hunting dog training?
We specialize in training all retriever breeds for hunting purposes such as duck, dove, and geese.
How old does my dog need to be to start training?
Our Basic Gun Dog Training Program and Obedience Program begins at a minimum age of 6 months to provide a proficient working retriever tailored to your hunting requirements.
What is the difference between obedience training and retriever training?
Obedience training focuses on essential commands and behavior for all dogs, while retriever training emphasizes fieldwork and retrieving skills specific to hunting dogs like Labrador Retrievers.
How long does your hunting dog training program last?
Our Basic Retriever Training hunting dog training programs typically last between 5-6 months on average. Your dog will be at the same level to start to their hunting career or excel in AKC or UKC Hunt Test competitions (Junior/Started level).
What are the costs associated with each hunting dog training program?
Costs for our hunting dog training programs vary based on the level of training required and the specific needs of your dog. All programs are at a monthly rate, it includes training, boarding, food, and birds (for retriever program). It’s $700 a month. (First and last month pro-rated)
We do offer various discounts:
- Monthly Payment: If you pay between the 1st and 15th of the month and you pay with Check, Cash, Venmo, you may take $25 off the monthly fee.
- Puppy Purchase: If you purchase a puppy from us and bring the back to us for field training or obedience training within the 1st year, we offer a separate discount then above. (Contact us for more information.)
Are there prerequisites for Intermeidate or Advanced retriever training?
Yes, dogs must complete our Basic Retriever Training Program to qualify for our Advanced Gun Dog Training.

Our training programs are designed to achieve high success rates. For our retriever programs, our goal is to provide you with a hunting companion that you will enjoy for their lifetime. For the obedience program, our goal is provide you with a well mannered family companion.
