Puppy Head Start Program
For Retrievers 4 months and older — let us help your pup get started the right way! The Puppy Head Start Program begins once your puppy is around four months old (or when your vet confirms they’re fully vaccinated). This optional program serves as a fun, confidence-building precursor to the Basic Gun Dog Program.
We introduce your puppy to retrieving bumpers, Dokkens, dead birds (pigeons & ducks), and live birds (pigeons), along with swimming retrieves and gentle gunfire — all in a positive, enjoyable environment.
Program Goals
Our goal is to spark your puppy’s natural retrieving desire and build confidence long before they start formal gun dog training. This program runs approximately 3 weeks and sets the foundation for your puppy’s lifelong enthusiasm for retrieving and learning.
Already Have a Puppy?
Do you already own a puppy and want to start building good habits until they’re ready for the Basic Gun Dog Program? There’s plenty you can do now to develop their retrieving style and drive.
